Arden and Alec, Blenheim Palace

Arden and Alec's couple portrait session at Blenheim Palace

There’s something magical about Blenheim Palace in autumn. The golden hour light casting a warm, ethereal glow over the lake, the stately architecture standing proud amongst the fiery foliage – it’s the perfect setting for a couple portrait session. Arden and Alec’s hoenymoon shoot last October was no exception, blending classic elegance with the romance of the season.

Fresh from their wedding on San Ysidro Ranch in California, Arden and Alec brought a timeless yet playful energy to their session. Sartorially dressed in a way that channel 1950s English countryside charm, they looked effortlessly at home agains the grandeur of Blenheim Palace.

Photographically, we approached this session with our signature mix of digital and film, capturing the stately beauty of the palace alongside the intimacy of Arden and Alec’s moments together. The late afternoon timing was key, allowing us to harness the golden hour light to create portraits that felt both cinematic and timeless. One standout moment was by the lake, where the sun’s reflection added an almost dreamlike quality to the images.

Arden and Alec’s session is a perfect example of what makes Blenheim Palace couple photography so special. Whether you’re marking an engagement, an anniversary, or simply celebrating a moment in time, Blenheim Palace offers an unforgettable backdrop for beautiful couple portraits.
