A unique engagement photoshoot: A twist on tradition
In a delightful deviation from the norm, we recently had the pleasure of conducting a post-wedding engagement photoshoot when Nick reached out with a special request: a portrait session for him and his wife, Hoa, in the scenic surroundings of Ashton Court in Bristol, followed by a jaunt through the city’s iconic Clifton area. Having tied the knot without having capturing their day in photographs, and with plans to celebrate their union in Hoa’s native Vietnam, they desired a collection of images that symbolised their marriage to share with their families. It was an honour to step in and fulfil this unique request.
Exploring Ashton Court
Ashton Court, a gem near Bristol, offers an exquisite backdrop for any photographer. Its formal gardens bloom with beauty, leading into expansive parklands that serve as a perfect canvas for an engagement photoshoot. This venue effortlessly combines natural splendour with the historical essence of its surroundings. Depending on when you visit, you might even catch the whimsical sight of hot air balloons gracing the sky.
An engagement photoshoot on the streets of Clifton
The next chapter of our shoot took us to Clifton, a locale renowned for its picturesque streets and the famous Clifton Suspension Bridge. Here, we captured street-inspired images that added an urban contrast to the natural elegance of Ashton Court. The bridge, with its grandeur, provided a stunning backdrop, infusing our session with a sense of iconic Bristolian identity.
