Sophie and Prad’s wedding day unfolded against the enchanting backdrop of Tortworth Court, a magnificent wedding venue perched on the edge of the Cotswolds. From the meticulously styled décor to the emotional moments shared, their day was a perfect blend of sophistication and heartfelt celebration.
Bridal prep at Tortworth Court
Our day began with candid shots of Prad, accompanied by his brother (the best man) and grandparents, basking in Tortworth Court’s expansive gardens. As they retreated indoors to prepare, I ventured to the bridal suite.
There, I witnessed the excitement and emotion of the bridal party. Sophie, wearing her timeless Milla Nova gown, left everyone breathless, moving the room to tears during the first look with her father.
The editorial beauty of the Orangery
The Orangery, the couple’s chosen venue for the ceremony, stood as a favourite among the diverse spaces Tortworth Court offers. Styled to perfection, it created a beautiful setting for an editorial-style wedding ceremony. Prad, looking sharp in black tie, awaited at the end of the aisle, a mix of excitement and nervousness etched on his face. The ceremony was a perfect combination of personal and thoughtful touches and was filled with emotion.
Following the ceremony, a pathway lined with beach hedge arches led the couple to the garden for a confetti-filled celebration. The cheers of friends and family resonated as they emerged, thoroughly covered in a confetti shower. Seizing the moment, I spirited Sophie and Prad away for intimate couple photos, capturing the raw emotions that define a wedding day.
An opulent reception
The back terrace hosted the drinks reception, treating guests to canapés and champagne. After a quiet moment for the couple, we explored the gardens for group photos, making full use of Tortworth Court’s varied landscape.
During this time, the Orangery underwent a transformation for the wedding feast, orchestrated by the impeccable Tortworth staff.
Golden hour at Tortworth Court
As speeches unfolded to perfection, we approached the golden hour—a cue for Sophie and Prad to steal away for a stroll through the gardens. Bathed in the soft pre-sunset light, their portraits radiated warmth and intimacy.
Returning, the couple cut the cake, marking a sweet pause before diving into the festivities. Sophie and Prad led the dance, followed by heartwarming father-daughter and mother-son moments. These added layers of emotion and beauty, enhancing the celebratory atmosphere.
