Nestled in the heart of the Cotswolds, Old Gore by Yard Space provided the perfect backdrop for Nastasha and Harry’s spring wedding. With its rustic charm and beautiful location, the venue set the stage for a day filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable moments. We were thrilled to capture their special day using a mix of digital, 35mm, 120mm, and Super 8 film.

Morning preparations

The day began with the buzz of excitement as Nastasha and Harry prepared for their big day. Nastasha’s preparations were a serene affair, with Individual Glamour taking care of hair and Leanne O’Neill perfecting her makeup. The bride looked stunning in her Sassi Holford dress, complemented by a delicate veil from Sash and Veil. Meanwhile, Harry and his best man shared laughs and drinks at a nearby Airbnb, setting a relaxed tone for the day ahead.

Ceremony at Old Gore by Yard Space

The couple’s intimate ceremony took place in the beautifully adorned main barn. Nastasha and Harry’s choice of Old Gore by Yard Space was perfect, as the rustic yet elegant setting enhanced the heartfelt atmosphere. The ceremony was highlighted by touching readings from Natasha’s sister and Harry’s brother and the exchange of vows was beautifully captured on both digital and 35mm film, adding a timeless quality to these precious moments.

Post-ceremony celebrations

Following the ceremony, guests enjoyed a lively confetti tunnel, leading into a reception filled with delicious (and seemingly endless!) canapés. The warm weather encouraged everyone to partake in the garden games set up in the grounds adding a playful and relaxed element to the afternoon.

The reception was a feast for the senses. The rustic barn was transformed with elegant décor and beautiful floral arrangements by Go Wild Flowers. One of the standout features was the unique wedding cake, a delightful mix of donuts and traditional cake by Cake Box, all of which were delicious!

Golden hour portraits

As the day transitioned into evening, we took advantage of the most gorgeous golden hour to capture some breathtaking portraits of Nastasha and Harry. The soft, golden light perfectly made for some of the most stunning images of the day. The use of 120mm film for these portraits added depth and warmth, enhancing the romantic ambiance of the moment.

The Party

The night culminated in an incredible party where Nastasha and Harry led their guests onto the dance floor, ensuring everyone had an unforgettable time. The band, Truly Medley Deeply, kept the energy high with their lively performance, making it a night to remember.

Super 8 wedding film at Old Gore by Yard Space

Throughout the day, we used Super 8 film to capture key moments, from the ceremony to the first dance. The grainy, nostalgic quality of Super 8 film added a cinematic feel to the wedding video, making it look like a scene from an old movie. This medium was particularly effective in capturing the emotion and movement of the day, creating a timeless keepsake for the couple.

Nastasha and Harry’s wedding at Old Gore by Yard Space was a perfect blend of romance, tradition, and personal touches. We are so grateful to have been part of their journey and to have captured their love story in such a timeless and authentic way. If you’re planning your own wedding and are drawn to the nostalgic beauty of film photography, we’d love to hear from you. Contact us to discuss how we can make your special day unforgettable.
