Set against the rolling hills of the Cotswolds, Hamswell House is a venue that perfectly balances historic elegance with breathtaking views of the surrounding countryside. Alex and Toby’s wedding last summer embraced everything that makes this venue so special—its idyllic gardens, classic architecture, and unmatched sense of tranquillity.
The day began with an outdoor ceremony under the sweeping branches of a magnificent lime tree, a focal point in Hamswell’s beautifully manicured grounds. With loved ones gathered in the warm summer sun, Alex and Toby exchanged vows in a heartfelt ceremony that set the tone for a day brimming with joy and connection. Personal touches were woven throughout, from the bride’s love of tennis—complete with a fun racquet tunnel during the evening—to heartfelt speeches that celebrated the couple’s journey together.
As the evening unfolded, the party atmosphere truly came alive. Jasper on Sax energized the cocktail hour before teaming up with a DJ later in the night, turning Hamswell’s grounds into a lively celebration. The entertainment was electric, with guests soaking in the festive energy of the day.
Photographically, the day offered countless moments for shooting on both digital and analogue. Sunset portraits featuring Alex and Toby alongside their vintage e-type Jaguar were a particular highlight, And later in the evening, we captured striking late-night flash portraits of the couple, blending intimacy and creativity.
Alex and Toby’s wedding at Hamswell House was the perfect reflection of their relaxed yet vibrant personalities. It was a true joy to document their celebration at such a stunning and iconic venue.
